  2. Automatic burner control units

Description

The Brahma CM31F 37106218 burner automation unit is installed in atmospheric gas burners with intermittent operation and forced draft. It controls all functions and connected devices, ensuring safe and efficient operation of the combustion system. It has a non-volatile lock (restart is performed using a reset button) and a built-in high-efficiency ignition device with an anti-interference filter.

Main parameters and functions:

  • control of functions of an atmospheric burner with a fan;
  • power supply from 220-240 V, 50-60 Hz mains;
  • intermittent operation mode, restart every 24 hours;
  • self-diagnosis of malfunctions;
  • flame ionization method flame control;
  • non-volatile lock (manual restart);
  • protective shutdown in case of flame loss;
  • gas supply cut-off to the burner in case of flame loss in < 1 sec;
  • transformer with built-in EMC filter;
  • two independent serial safety contacts;
  • molex type connectors;
  • operation at ambient temperatures -20...+60 °C;
  • dust and moisture protection of the housing according to IP 00 standard;
  • mounting in the burner in any position;
  • delivery set without a base;
  • service life > 250000 operations under maximum load.

Design features

The burner automation unit is manufactured in accordance with European safety standards. Assembled in a compact, shockproof housing made of self-extinguishing plastic, protecting the electronic circuit, ignition device, varistor, electrical components from impacts and contamination. Molex connectors are provided for connecting the automation unit, allowing quick and safe connection.

The varistor provides protection of the automation unit from possible voltage surges in the electrical network. The ignition transformer is equipped with an anti-interference filter.

At each start-up, the controller performs a self-test of its components. A false flame signal or an error in the amplifier stops the burner start-up process. The air pressure relay is checked before the fan is turned on.

The burner automation unit is equipped with a non-volatile lock, i.e. restart after protective shutdown is performed manually.

Application

Brahma CM31F burner automation units are used as part of gas and combined boilers of heating systems, heat generators, water heaters, furnaces and other gas appliances.

Advantages:

  • efficient burner control, flame control;
  • fast gas shut-off in case of flame signal loss;
  • ignition device with EMC filter;
  • protection against working voltage fluctuations;
  • optimized dimensions of the printed circuit board and housing;
  • wide range of operating temperatures;
  • installation in any position.

The series includes burner automation units for burners with or without a fan, manual and electric lock reset, with/without additional contacts, safety thermostat, various safety check intervals.
