Description
The Kromschroder TZI 5-15/100WE ignition transformer, art: 84391150, provides generation of high-voltage and spark ignition of gas and liquid fuel burners. It can be used in single- and two-electrode ignition and flame control systems.

Operation in systems with a two-electrode circuit
A separate electrode is used for ignition and an electrode for controlling the ionization current. From the IFD 258 burner controller, the operating voltage is supplied to the transformer, which leads to the generation of high voltage and the creation of an ignition spark between the electrode and the grounded burner housing. Flame control is carried out using an ionization (electrode) sensor.
Operation in single-electrode systems
In this case, one electrode is used for ignition and ionization. After the burner is ignited, the ionization current passes through the same electrode that participated in the fuel ignition. This option is allowed only when using a corresponding burner controller. The burner controller switches between ignition and flame control modes.
Installation features
The ignition transformer can be installed horizontally or downwards with cable entries. The optimal cable length for ignition is < 1 m. It is important to consider that increasing the length of the ignition cable reduces the ignition power, so it is not recommended to use long cables (maximum length 5 m).
