Description
The Kromschroder TZI 8-12/100WE ignition transformer, art: 84391170 is used for spark ignition of gas and liquid fuel burners. Suitable for single and double electrode ignition and flame control systems. Designed for installation in the control panel. The model is supplied without a protective housing, with a 410 mm power cable.

Electrical ignition using an ignition electrode
From the IFD 258 burner control unit, which controls the operation of the burner, a working voltage is supplied to the transformer, which leads to the generation of high-voltage current and the creation of an electrical ignition spark between the electrode and the grounded burner housing. Flame control in this case is carried out using an ionization sensor (electrode).
Ignition when using a single electrode
A single electrode is used, performing the functions of ignition and ionization. After successful burner start-up, the ionization current passes through the same electrode that participated in the ignition.
This operating scheme is permissible when using a corresponding burner control unit. The burner control unit switches between ignition and flame control modes.
Installation features
The ignition transformer is suitable for horizontal mounting. It can also be installed downwards with cable inlets. The optimal length of the ignition cable is < 1 m. When the ignition cable length is increased, the ignition power decreases, therefore it is not recommended to use long cables (maximum 5 m).
