Piusi CFD 70-30 Filter, 70 l/min
Alternative Part Number
Description
The reliability and efficiency of equipment operation largely depend on the quality of the fuel it runs on. The cleaner the fuel at the outlet of the fuel dispensing unit, the less likely the refueling equipment will fail.
A diesel and gasoline fuel filter produced by Piusi - filter 70 l/min (art. F00611A00) can significantly improve fuel quality by cleaning it of foreign impurities and absorbing the water contained in it.
Filter design, installation and replacement
Piusi filter is a cartridge type filter. It consists of a metal housing with a filter element. A special adapter is designed for its installation, which is mounted in the pressure line. Installation is carried out via a threaded (25 mm) or flanged connection.
The cartridge is attached to the adapter with a thread. Therefore, its installation and replacement are not particularly difficult and do not require additional actions to disassemble the system. The cartridge is non-separable and, if necessary, is replaced as a whole, that is, no replaceable filter elements are provided.
Performance characteristics
The filter removes both solid impurities larger than 30 microns from gasoline and diesel fuel, as well as water particles contained in it. Its throughput allows it to be installed on pumps with a fuel dispensing rate of up to 70 l/min.
It should be remembered that strong contamination of the cartridge and the accumulation of water in it gradually reduce the performance of the pump and, accordingly, the pressure at the outlet of the fuel dispensing unit. A significant decrease in the pump flow rate indicates that the cartridge needs to be replaced. As mentioned above, this operation is very simple and takes a minimum of time.
Note: To increase the working life of this filter, it is recommended to install it in the fuel system after a filter that performs preliminary cleaning of the fuel from large abrasive particles. To ensure efficient operation of the electric pump module, it is desirable to install a coarse filter before the pump, on the suction side.
