Failure to comply with this rule reduces the reliability of the equipment and significantly reduces its service life. The Piusi Clear captor water filter F00611B10, designed for cleaning diesel fuel and gasoline with water separation, will simply and inexpensively solve this problem.
Design features
This filter is installed on a mini fuel transfer unit using a special adapter that is mounted in the fuel line of the column. It can be installed both before and after the pump. The first option is preferable as it helps to increase the working life of the electric pump module.
The Piusi Clear captor water filter consists of a transparent tank with a volume of 0.7 liters, into which a replaceable filter cartridge is inserted. The degree of contamination of the cartridge and the amount of water collected are visible through the transparent body of the filter. At the bottom of the container there is a special valve for removing water and sludge.
Filter operating parameters
The water separation filter not only provides high-quality cleaning of diesel fuel and gasoline from solid particles and corrosion products, but also absorbs water present in the pumped fuel.
It is characterized by a slightly lower flow rate (70 l/min) and filtration rate (30 microns) than a similar filter without a water separation function. However, water can cause no less damage to the filled equipment than fine abrasive particles.
It can be installed on fuel transfer units with a nominal flow rate not exceeding the filter's flow rate. Otherwise, the latter will artificially limit the performance of the column.
If the cartridge is heavily contaminated, the filter's flow rate decreases. Therefore, the cartridge must be changed periodically. To increase its service life, it is recommended to install this filter after a coarse filter, providing preliminary fuel cleaning.
