Description

The Siemens LMO14.155C2MA burner control system is based on microprocessor technology. It provides digital signal processing, which guarantees accurate execution of command sequences. It is designed to automate the start-up, all stages of combustion, and shutdown of a liquid fuel forced air burner, with continuous flame monitoring. It supports intermittent operation. Using multi-color indication, it informs the user about the current status and faults. After 24 hours of operation, it initiates a controlled shutdown followed by a restart. It can be connected to a computer (requires retrofitting).

Main functions and features:

  • Continuous flame monitoring with a photoresistor sensor QRB, QRC;
  • Controlled restart every 24 hours of operation for system diagnostics;
  • Low voltage monitoring, safe shutdown;
  • Information about operation and errors via multi-color indication;
  • Instantaneous closing of outputs for fuel valves, burner motor and ignition system (within < 1 sec.) in case of malfunctions;
  • Limitation of the number of restart attempts (no more than 3);
  • Possibility of remote electrical restart from lock-out mode;
  • Shunt contact for liquid fuel heater;
  • Control of fuel preheating time by a heating device.

Device and features

The housing of the Siemens LMO automation unit is made of impact-resistant, flame-retardant plastic, providing basic protection against mechanical influences, dust and dirt. The required level of electrical protection (IP 40) is achieved when mounted in the burner. The removable design is hooked onto the base (not included in the standard scope of supply) with special latches. The control unit operates on a microcontroller.

The burner control system includes a load control relay, an electronic flame signal amplifier, a restart button with multi-color indication, a connector for the OCI400 interface adapter and computer diagnostics of burner operation (PC Windows software ACS400 is purchased separately).

The reset button is a key element for restarting the combustion manager and activating visual diagnostics mode. The operating states of the automation unit are displayed using color codes, making it easier to read data about the stages of operation and causes of malfunctions. Lock-out mode is accompanied by the activation and flashing of a red LED.

Operating conditions

Siemens LMO burner control systems are suitable for operation at ambient temperatures from -5 to +60 °C and humidity < 95%. Condensation, icing and water ingress into the control unit housing are prohibited.

Application

The combustion manager is used in forced air burners operating on liquid fuel, with a consumption of up to 30 kg/h, complying with EN 267, EN 230 standards.

Advantages:

  • High control accuracy due to digital signal processing;
  • Safe shutdown in case of failures and malfunctions;
  • Controlled restart after 24-hour operation;
  • Low voltage monitoring in the network;
  • Possibility of remote electrical restart;
  • Output for interface diagnostics;
  • Limitation of the number of restart attempts;
  • Control of fuel preheating time;
  • Color indication informing about combustion stages and errors.
