Description

The Siemens QRA4M.U flame sensor is a device for monitoring yellow and blue flames of gas and liquid fuel burners. It reacts to ultraviolet radiation and sends a signal to the burner control system.

The sensor is equipped with a high-strength housing made of cast aluminum. It is designed for frontal installation. It can be fixed to the burner or boiler. Optionally (options) the package includes mounting accessories, heat protection glass.

The degree of protection of the QRA4M.U housing complies with the IP 54 standard. The device is protected from dust and moisture penetration and can be operated at temperatures of -20...+60 °C (condensation, icing, and moisture penetration inside the device are not allowed).

The ultraviolet sensor consists of a UV-sensitive photoelement with 2 electrodes that react to the light spectrum of 190-270 nm. The UV element does not register radiation from heated fireclay, daylight, or lamps in the working room.

  • use in burners on gas and liquid fuel;
  • for operation in systems with continuous operation;
  • photoelement resource – about 10 thousand hours when operating in conditions of t up to +50 °C;
  • connecting thread ¾“-14NPSM for mounting on the burner or boiler;
  • power cable length for electrical connection – 1.8 m.

Note! When operating the device in conditions of temperatures above +50 °C, the service life is reduced.
