Description

The Siemens QRB4A-B150B70A flame sensor, art: S55723-S226-A100 – is a standard sensitivity device for tracking yellow flame in the visible spectrum of light when operating a liquid fuel burner. It registers radiation and transmits a signal to the control unit. With the mounting accessories included in the package, it is securely fixed to the place of operation.

Device and Completeness

The built-in photodiode responds to infrared radiation from the flame. It has side and front visibility. A two-core power cable with PVC insulation is connected to the body. A plastic flange AGK42 and a clamp AGK43 are included in the supply for vibration-resistant mounting on the burner. The guiding groove of the flange and the cam of the clamp allow the sensor to be firmly and in the optimal position relative to the flame.

Features and Main Parameters:

  • photoresistive element of standard sensitivity;
  • operation from a burner control LMO/ LMV2/ LMV3, on request from LME7/ LME8;
  • side (90°) and front illumination;
  • standard electrical protection IP 54;
  • complete with mounting accessories;
  • wide temperature range (ambient environment): from -20 to +60 °С;
  • length of connected power cord – 1500 mm;
  • mounting in any position;
  • use in systems with an irregular cycle.

Installation Requirements

The installation of the sensor must be carried out only by a qualified specialist. It is necessary to take measures to minimize signal loss during transmission to the burner control. It is also necessary to provide additional protection against light interference, as the sensor is able to detect parts of the light spectrum from heated brick, daylight or artificial lighting.

Icing of the device, condensation, or water ingress into the housing is not allowed. Failure to comply with standard safety measures increases the risk of electric shock and an abnormal situation due to the incorrect operation of the sensor.

Advantages:

  • measurements directly and from the side;
  • built-in power cable;
  • thermal protection of conductive cores;
  • wide range of operating temperatures;
  • vibration-resistant mounting;
  • completeness with mounting accessories;
  • high level of protection against dust/ splashes;
  • possibility of operation at sub-zero temperatures.
