The quality of fuel entering the tanks of the refuelling equipment is an important factor. It largely determines the reliability of its operation. The Piusi Clear captor strainer F00611B60 filter is used to clean gasoline and diesel fuel from foreign impurities, which increases the working life of the equipment and guarantees its trouble-free operation for a long time.
Design features of the filter, its installation and maintenance
This filter belongs to the cartridge type. A filtering element is placed in a transparent flask with a volume of 0.7 l, which serves as the filter body. The latter is a metal cartridge capable of operating for many years without replacement.
If it becomes heavily contaminated, which can be monitored through the transparent body, it should be removed from the flask, washed and reinserted. A valve is located at the bottom of the flask to remove filtration products from it. A significant drop in the performance of the column using this filter will indicate the need to clean the cartridge.
The filter is built into the fuel line of the electric pump module. It is preferable to install it on the suction side. This allows you to clean the fuel before it enters the pump, thereby increasing the service life of the refuelling complex.
The filter is installed using the adapter included in the delivery set. Threaded connections with a diameter of 25 mm (1”) are used for its installation. And the presence of flanges provides additional mounting convenience and makes it more reliable.
Working characteristics
The Piusi Clear captor strainer filter is characterized by a relatively low degree of filtration, 125 microns. Therefore, depending on the application, it can be used both for pre-cleaning and for final cleaning of diesel fuel or gasoline. Due to its good throughput of 100 l/min, it can be installed on refuelling equipment with a high flow rate.
